"If man has no knowledge of the past, he is nothing but a vessel without a rudder on the high seas", claims the Ancient City's sage-like founder, Prapai Viriyahbhun. "만약 인간이 과거에 대해 모른다면 높은 파도에 흽쓸리는 단지 운전대없는 배와 같다" 라고 고대도시의 현인같은 설립자  Prapai Viriyahbhun의 주장이다.

 

 

This is his attempt to give mankind a rudder, his slightly eccentric remedy for what he sees as "the moral deterioration of human society". 이 무앙보란은 그가  인간사회의 정신적 쇠락으로 보는 것에 대한 특이한 해결책으로, 태국인에게 운전대(지침)를 주려는 시도이다. 

 

Set in 320 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens on the outskirts of Bangkok, its success or failure in this lofty ambition is not clear. 방콕외곽에 자리잡은 아름다운 풍경을 가진 320에이커의 정원에 자리잡은 무앙보란은 이 고상한 야망에 대해 성공또는 실패했는지 확실하지 않다.

 

What is, however, is that it succeeds at preserving Thailand's singular heritage, its wonderful art, customs and culture for future generations.그러나,  태국의 희귀한 유산, 그것의 아름다운 예술,미래 세대를 위한 풍습과 문화를 보존하려는 것만은 성공했다.

 

Grounds mimic the precise shape of Thailand, featuring replicas of the country's most historically significant structures, albeit usually down-scaled in size. 부지(무앙보란)는 태국국가의 정확한 모양을 본떴고, 나라 대부분의 역사적으로 중요한 건축물을 비록 축소한 크기는 하지만 그대로 복제했다.

 

Each of the over 116 monuments is in their proper geographic position, and include chedis, palaces, bell towers, pavilions, temples, halls, floating markets, Buddha images and shrines. 116개 이상의 각각 기념 건조물들은 각각 그들의 지리적 위치에 자리잡고 있으며, 이 것들은 불탑,왕궁,종탑,누각,사원, 홀, 수상시장,부처상과 사당을 포함한다.

 

Many buildings are reconstructions of sites that no longer exist, others originals rescued for their historical significance.

많은 건물들이 더 이상 존재하지 않는 건축물들이고, 다른 것들은 역사적인 중요성때문에 원래의 건축물을 갖다논 것이다.

 

Highlights are hard to pick out. However, a garden of stupas reveals how deep rooted Buddhism is in Thai culture, with all the different styles they've appeared in since ancient times. 최고의 볼거리를 고르기는 어렵다. 그러나, 사리탑정원은 불교가 고대이후로 다른 모습으로 태국 문화에 얼마나 뿌리를 내렸는지를 밝혀준다.  

 

A recreation of an ancient Ayutthaya-era theatre pavilion showcases the artistic grandeur of the time, with elaborately carved and gilded motifs. 고대 아유타야 극장의 누각은 그 시대의 예술적인 웅대함을 보여주고 있는데 공들여 조각하고

치장했다.

 

The serene Garden of the Gods presents a lively three-dimensional tableau of Hindu deities Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva cast in bronze - a great place for physical refreshment and spiritual nourishment. 신들의 고요한 정원(The serene Garden of the Gods )은 힌두교의 신인 브라마, 비시누와 시바를 구리로 주물을 떠서 생생한 3차원 모습을 보여주는 데 이 곳은  신체에 활기를 주고 정신적인 자양분을 주는 위대한 장소이다.

 

These and many more embodiments of Thai culture, customs and architecture, make it a great place to see Thailand in a day. 무앙보란에서 이 많은 태국 건축물, 풍습, 건축물을 통해 여행객들은 하루에 태국을 다 볼 수 있다.

How to get there(가는 방법):taxi is probably the best way to go. 택시가 아마도 교통수단으로 가장 좋은 방법이다

 

 Tell the driver "Muang Boran, Samut Prakarn". Or take the BTS Skytrain to on-Nut Station, then continue on taxi.
