Thai Dance Classes in Chiang Mai

Traditional Thai Dance, apart from the Regional dances, comes in two distinct forms.At the Thai Dance Classes in Chiang Mai you will have an opportunity to explore both forms of dance.
Classical Dance is very stylized and tells a traditional Thai story or Folk tales. The best known of these classical dances are Khon, Lakhon and Fawn Thai .
Folk Dance is much less strict and stylized and can include humour. Included among the Folk dances are Ram Muay, performed by Muay Thai boxers before a fight, Likay and Wai Khru.

Ban Rak Thai

Ban Rak Thai has intensive courses suitable for visitors who have only a short time available to learn Thai Dance and Thai traditional musical Instruments. Courses are also available for those who have more time and for children.
Dance from all the regions in Thailand is taught at Ban Rak Thai and is both fun to learn and a very good form of exercise.
The study of Thai dance and Thai instruments will give visitors a great insight into Thai culture.

Thai Dance Institute

The Thai Dance Institute has a 2 hour course available for visitors who wish to study the art of Thai Classical Dancing and who only have a short time available and also a unique extensive course covering 10 grades and spanning over 200 hours.

Open Daily: 10am - 12pm, 1pm - 3pm, 3pm - 5pm

Short Course Fee Baht 1200 per person. Extensive Course Baht 9000 per person per grade.
