After welcoming guests from around the world for the past 36 years, Swissotel Nai Lert Park is finally closing its doors this coming New Year’s Eve. 과거 36년동안 세계 각국에서 온 고객들을 맞이한 스윗소텔 나일럿 파크호텔은 결국 다가오는 새해 전날 문 닫을 예정이다.

According to Managing Director Naphaporn Bodiratnangkura, Swissotel Nai Lert Park’s closing is a necessary change due to the present economic conditions, and the tough competition in the hotel business. 대표이사인 Naphaporn Bodiratnangkura에 따르면 스윗소텔 나일럿파크 호텔의 패쇄는 현재의 경제적 여건과 호텔업계의 치열한 경쟁때문에 필요한 변화라고 말했다.

 호텔직원들에게 보내는 대표이사 Naphaporn의 육필안내문 사진은 인터넷상에서 볼 수 있는데 내용은 다음과 같다.

 

“Today, the hotel industry is a tough one, with so many new hotels to compete with at every corner.

 " 오늘날 호텔 산업은 치열합니다. 매우 많은 새로운 호텔들이 위험한 상황에서 경쟁하고 있습니다.

 In the past, the Board of Directors have fought hard and persevered for the survival of the hotel, but in the end, everything changes. And this will be the biggest change of all. So today, I want to inform everyone that the hotel will be closing on the 31st of December, 2016.”

과거 임원들은 열심히 일했고, 호텔생존을 위해 끈기있게 견뎌냈습니다.그러나 결국, 모든 것은 변합니다. 그리고 이 것은(호텔을 문닫겠다는 것) 가장 큰 변화입니다. 그레서 오늘 나는 모든 분에게 이 호텔은 12월31일부터 문닫을 것임을 알립니다."

In her letter, Naphaporn writes that every employee will be receiving legal compensation and a one-month bonus. Employees who are interested in continuing their work with the Accor family of hotels will also be evaluated and considered for other possible jobs in its network.  Naphaporn은 그녀의 편지에서 모든 직원은 법적인 보상과 1개월 보너스를 받을 것임을 썼다. 아코르 계열의 호텔에서 계속 일하기를 원하는데 관심이 있다면 (아코르의) 체인망에서 가능한 일자리에 가치를 인정받아 배려가 있을 것이다.

The hotel won’t be completely gone though - physically anyway. NationTV reports that Bangkok Hospital, aka Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS), have informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand about wanting to buy the 15 rai parcel in the Nai Lert Park project on Witthayu Road (Wireless Road).

They plan to develop it into the BDMS Wellness Clinic, which they claim will be the first center in Asia to offer wellness services, according to Bangkok Post. 방콕포스트지에 따르면 방콕병원은 스윗소텔 나일럿파크 호텔을 개발해 방콕 두싯 메디컬서비스복지 병원으로 개발할 계획이다. 그것은 방콕병원이 아시아 최초의 복지서비스를 제공할 것이라고 내세운 병원이다.

An old five-star Swissotel Nai Lert Park Hotel will cease operation at the end of this year after the hotel was sold to Bangkok Dusit Medical Services for Bt10.8 billion.

오래된 5성급 호텔 스윗소텔 나일럿파크호텔은 금년말에 영업을 중단할 것이다. 이호텔은 방콕두싯의료서비스에 108억 바트에 팔렸다.

The BDMS Wednesday informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that its shareholders had approved the purchase of the hotel and its land for Bt10.8 billion. 방콕두싯의료서비스는 수요일  주주들이 108억 바트 비용에 스윗소텔 호텔과 부지구입을 승인했음을 태국증권시장에 알렸다.

Also on Wednesday Naphaporn Bodiratnangkura, managing director of Nai Lert Park Hotel, issued a letter to inform the hotel's staffs that the hotel would operate until the end of the year. The staffs would receive compensations in accordance with the labour laws plus bonus, the letter stated. 또한 수요일에 스윗소텔 나일럿파크호텔 대표이사   Naphaporn Bodiratnangkura는 금년말꺼자 운영할 것임을 호텔 직원들에게 알리는 편지를 보냈다. 직원들은 보너스 포함 태국노동법에 따라 보상할 것임을 그 편지에서는 밝혔다.

The hotel has been operating for 36 years and is well-known among both Thais and foreign tourists.

스윗소텔나일럿파크호텔은 36년간 운영되었으며, 태국인과 외국여행자들에게 잘 알려져 있다.

   once the transfer of the NaiLert Park project’s land and building worth Bt10.8 billion is accepted, BDMS will put an extra budget of Bt2 billion to develop it into the holistic service medical center BDMS Wellness Clinic. 108억 바트가치의 스윗소텔 나일럿파크프로젝트 부지와 건물의 양도가 승인되자, 방콕두싯의료서비스는 별도의 20억 바트 예산을 세워 전인적의료(육체와 정신을 총괄하는 의료서비스) 센터인 BDMS(방콕두싯의료서비스) 복지병원을 개발할 에정이다.

This will result into a total transaction value of Bt12.8 billion.

이 계획은 결국 총 128억바트의 거래 결과를 낳았다.

   The land in the project area is located on Wireless Road, covering the total area of 15 rail of land, and it features a six-floor hotel (40,300 sqm of space) and a twelve-floor Promenade Office Building (31,000 sqm of space). There is also a one-floor building used for staff cafeteria with the area of around 400 sqm. 이 계획의 대지는 와이어리스 도로상에 위치하며, 총 15라이의 대지를 포함하고 있다. 이 것은 6층의 호텔(40,300 sqm공간)과 12층으 프로메네이드 사무실빌딩(31,000sqm공간)이 특징이다. 또한, 약 400sqm 면적을 가진 직원매점으로 사용되어지는 1층 건물이 있다.

   BDMS expects to expand its operations and capture the business opportunities created by increasing demand in preventive medicine, longevity and anti-aging areas. 방콕두싯의료서비스는 사업확장과 예방의학,장수(長壽),그리고 노화방지 영역의 늘어나는 수요에 맞추어 생성되는  사업기회들을 점령할 것으로 기대하고 있다.

   "BDMS Wellness Clinic will be the first of its kind in Asia. We believe that it will help enhance our reputation and brand recognition globally," said the company’s filing to the Stock Exchange of Thailand. "방콕두싯의료서비스 복지병원은 이와 같은 종류의 병원으로는 아시아 최초일 것이다. 우리는 이 병원이 우리의 명성과 브랜드 인지도를 세계적으로 알리는데 도움을 줄 것이다"라고 태국증권거래소에 보내진 회사서류에서 밝혔다. 

   The company said the sources of fund would be from its cash flow, loan banks, and/or issuance of debentures or bonds. 방콕두싯의료서비스는 자금의 출처는 현금,은행융자, 그리고 무담보회사채 또는 공사채 발행일 것이라고 말했다.
