Border Crossings with Laos (캄보디아와 라오스의 국경검문소)

 

The following information regarding the Laos border crossing has not been updated for approximately 2 years.

Voeung Kam, Laos/Dom Kralor, Cambodia(라오스의 봉캄/캄보디아의 돔크랄러)
Cambodian visas are available at the border (Don't forget to bring a photo!).

캄보디아 비자가 국경에서 가능하다.(사진을 가져가는 것을 잊지 말아라)

Some travelers report that visas are only available at the road crossing, not at the river crossing.

(몇몇 여행자는 비자가 단지 강을 건너는 국경지역이 아닌 도로상의 국경지역에서만 가능하다고 말했다)

 

Laos visas NOT available at the border. No special permits required from either Cambodia or Laos.

(라오스 비자는 국경지역에서 불가능하다. 캄보디아나 라오스 어느쪽에서도 특별한 허가가 요구되지 않는다)

 

Open 08:00-17:00(개방시간은 오전8시에서 오후5시까지)

There are two border crossing points with Laos relatively close to one another: 1) the riverine crossing at Koh Chheuteal Thom; 2) the road crossing at Dom Kralor. 캄보디아와 라오스가 서로 접하는 국경지역으로 비교적 가까운 두곳이 있는데 1)   Koh Chheuteal Thom의 강을 통해 건너는 국경출입국사무소와 2)Dom Kralor의 도로상에서 건너는 곳이 바로 그 것이다.

 

Expect extra fees for “stamps” on both sides of the border.

양 국경을 건너는데 스템프를 찍기위하여 여분의 돈을 준비하라.

 

To get to the Lao border crossing from Phnom Penh, take a taxi or bus to Stung Treng town, and then arrange transport to the border from Stung Treng. 프놈펜에서 라오스 국경사무소까지 가기위해서는 택시나 버스를 타고 Stung Treng town까지 가라. 그리고 나서 Stung Treng town에서 국경까지 가는 교통수단을 구하라.

 

The road from Phnom Penh all the way through Stung Treng and to the border has recently been improved and is currently in comparatively good condition. 프놈펜에서  Stung Treng town을 통과해서 국경까지 이르는 도로는 최근에 개선되어 현재 비교적 좋은 상태이다.

 

Travelers used to take the ferry most of the way to Stung Treng, but now with the improved road conditions, most most people go by road.

 여행자들은 Stung Treng town까지 대부분 훼리를 사용했으나 지금은 개선된 도로조건을 통해 대부분의 사람들이 도로로 간다. 

 

To get to Stung Treng either: Stung Treng town으로 가는 두가지 방법중의 하나.

 

1) Take a Phnom Penh Sorya Transport bus (station near the Central Market in Phnom Penh) for 42,000 riel, 7-10 hours. The bus departs the Phnom Penh station daily at 7:00AM. 프놈펜 소라야교통버스/ Phnom Penh Sorya Transport bus (프놈펜 중앙시장인근 역)를 42,000리알을 주고 7시간에서 10시간을 타라. 그 버스는 프놈펜정거장에서 매일 오전 7시에 출발한다.

 

 

 

2) To get to Stung Treng via Kratie: Take a Phnom Penh Sorya Transport for 21,000 riel, 7 hours. Departs daily at 7:30AM. Then take a share taxi to Stung Treng for 20,000 riel, 2-3 hours. 크라티에/Kratie를 경유하여 Stung Treng 을 가기위해, 7시간 소요되는 Phnom Penh Sorya Transport 를 21,000리알을 주고 타라. 그리고 나서 20,000리알을 주고 2-3시간 걸리는 Stung Treng 행 합석택시를 타라.

 

To get to the border crossing from Stung Treng, either take a ferry ($5/person, $30 for a private boat, 1 - 3 hours) or the minibus to the road crossing.

Stung Treng 으로부터 국경검문소에 도착하기위해 훼리(1-3시간 소요되는 1인당 5불, 또는 개인보트로 30불) 또는 도로상의 국경검문소까지 미니버스를 타라.

 

Going the other way, from Laos to Cambodia, you can cross the border by road or river.

라오스에서 캄보디아로 가기위해 당신은 도로로 또는 강으로 국경을 건널 수 있다.

 

 By river, take a boat from Don Khone or Don Khong to Voeung Kam ($2-$5).

(강으로 가는 경우, 돈콘/Don Khone  또는 돈콩/ Don Khong 에서 봉캄/Voeung Kam 까지 보트를 타라.

 

From Voeung Kam, get a Cambodian boat to Stung Treng for $10. 봉캄에서  Stung Treng 까지 10불을 주고 캄보디아 보트를 구하라.

 (There had been several reports of price gouging by the boats to Stung Treng, but there have been fewer reports of this as of late.)

(과거에는  Stung Treng까지 가는 보트가 바가지를 씌운다는 말들이 많았으나 최근에는 적어지는 추세이다)

 

Then take a bus to Phnom Penh on the Phnom Penh Sorya Transport for 42,000 riel.

그리고 나서 42,000리알을 주고 Phnom Penh Sorya Transport회사의 버스를 이용해서 프놈펜까지 올 수 있다. 

 

From Laos to Cambodia by road, travelers report that people who bought package tickets from their guesthouse in Laos to travel from Laos through to Stung Treng Cambodia are met by onward transportation at the border after they cross into Cambodia. 육로로 라오스에서 캄보디아로 가는 경우, 라오스에서 캄보디아 Stung Treng까지 여행하기위해 라오스의 게스트하우스에서 패키지 티켓을 구입한 사람들은  캄보디아로 건너간 후에도 국경에서 타고온 운송수단을 그대로 타고 왔다고 말한다.

 

 But otherwise, there is no regularly scheduled onward transportation available on the Cambodian side of the border.

그러나, 그와는 달리 그 캄보디아 국경에서 이용가능한 정기노선의 교통수단은 없다.

 

Traveler's the arrive without pre-arranged onward transportation report that there are sometimes private taxis and motos waiting at the border but there are times when no transportation is available, requiring a long wait for transport to show up.   사전에 연이은 교통수단을 마련하지 못한 여행자들은 때때로  국경에서 기다리는 개인택시들과 모또가 있었으며,어떤 교통수단도 이용하지 못한 적이 있어 교통수단이 나타날때까지 오랫동안 기다려야 했다는 보고가 있었었다.
