Inner Bangkok is still dry despite reports in the international media.

세계적인 미디어들의 보도에도 불구하고 방콕중심부는 아직 물에 침수되지 않았다.

 

Northern and Western districts have seen some flooding.

방콕 북쪽과 서쪽지역들 일부에서 침수를 볼 수 있다.

 

There has also been some flooding along the river in Bangkok during high tide.

또한 높은 만조기간에 방콕 강변지역을 따라 일부 지역에서 침수가 보여지고 있다.

 

The Bangkok Governor says that the situation hasn’t reached a critical point yet.

방콕시장은 현 상황은 아직 비관적인 상황에 도달하지 않았다고 말한다.

 

As the days go by, it seems more likely that we will see some form of flooding in inner Bangkok, but then again, it might miss us completely.

날이 갈 수록 방콕 중심지역에서 침수현상을 볼 가능성이 높을것으로 보여지나 그리고 나서 다시 그 물은 우리에게서

완전히 비껴갈 것이다.

 

Other destinations in Thailand like Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Sukhothai, Rayong, Koh Samet, Koh Chang, Pattaya, Kanchanaburi, Hua Hin, Phuket, Krabi and all other provinces to the south are safe from floods and you could go to these places instead.

그 대신에 치앙마이, 치앙라이, 수코타이, 라용, 코사멧, 코창,파타야, 칸차나부리, 후아힌, 푸켓, 크라비와 같은 태국의 다른 지역과 남쪽의 다른 지역들은 홍수로부터 안전하므로 여러분들은 이 지역으로 갈 수 있을 것이다.

 

Suvarnabhumi Airport is not in Bangkok and is protected by 3.5 meter high flood barriers.

수완나품 공항은 방콕시내에 있지 않으나 3.5미터의 높은 홍수 방지벽에 의해 보호받고 있다.

(공항으로 가는 도로역시 높은 곳에 위치해 방콕시내에서 공항가는 길은 문제가 없다)
